Christopher Mize is a self-taught artist who has been painting and drawing since childhood. With a BA in economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and an MBA from Augusta State University in Georgia, he worked for more than a decade in the medical supplies industry. Turning his back on a career in management, he has focused all of his energy toward building a new life focused on painting and art. His self-taught method and style were sparked during a year of study abroad at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland. While studying business and economics there, he was exposed to the museums of Europe. He has found that wine, beer, and spirits bottles offer limitless opportunities for subjects in his paintings. Christopher lives with his wife, two children, and two dogs in the rolling countryside outside Richmond, Virginia.
