How do I become a Crossroads Artist in Residence?
Artists must go through a jury process to become a CAC Artist in Residence. All artists working in fine arts and fine crafts are eligible. Fine crafts include such work as ceramics, textiles, jewelry, all kinds of sculpture, glass, and more. Upon selection, the applicant becomes a juried CAC artist and is classified as an Artist in Residence.
Artist must bring in 5 pieces for the jurors to critique.
How do I get a studio or wall space?
Studio Space - Solo studio vacancies are rare, but the resident artist turnover rate averages 10% per year. Studio spaces rent for $175 - $285 a month with a 15% Commission paid to the art center on all sales.
Wall Space – Wall spaces are priced from $55 - $135 a month with a 13% Commission paid to the art center on all sales.
How do I apply?
Applicants bring five original pieces of their artwork, slide sheet or cd, completed “Space Reservation Form”, and $25 fee to the Crossroads Art Center. The work will be juried on as needed basis.

When do I find out the results?
We will call you with the results of your critique as soon as the jurors have reviewed your work. We strongly encourage artists who are not selected to apply again in 6 months.
Who are the jurors?
There are 5 jurors who critique the work. The jurors are highly qualified professional artists, curators, teachers, museum directors and the like, who are independent of the Crossroads Art Center. Their decision is final. They will look for work that meets the highest standards of professionalism and promise.
