Celebration of Life

Mixed Media on Cradled Board

30" x 30" x 1.5" Unframed

$450

I created this piece about street life during the pandemic. My studio closed so I started painting in my apartment. This painting represents a time where we could all come together to celebrate life prior to the pandemic. This was created with bright colors to add focus to a positive life for all.

Artist Statement

I have been always active in the greater Richmond community. I had my own design studio, taught children at various public schools, held charity shows and exhibited in galleries all over the city including United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Weinstein Jewish Community Center (JCC), Richmond Public Library (Downtown), and Artspace. One of my greatest joys was my collaboration with UNOS in the development of a group show in 2018 which I named "Second Chances" an exhibition of artwork reflecting the lives of transplant recipients because everyone deserves a second chance to live. As active as I have been, I'm concentrating on polishing and refining a more introspective message. "I want to create empathy, so that anyone who views my expressionist landscapes and figures can feel what it's like to be part of the scene, the gathering, and communal spaces."
