Artist's Statement:
My journey in motorsports art started in an acrylic painting class I took as an elective while pursuing an automotive degree. I listened to a podcast with and automotive artist and having the interest in automotive and the paint in my closet, I decided to try it myself. My initial attempt were a "poster style" with fewer colors and no blending of color. Since there has been the constant pursuit of progress in realism while bouncing back to "poster" style from time to time to relax. My interest in automotive history has become the main subject of my art and painting the moments is my passion.
As a motorsports artist my goal is to share the stories of the pioneers of speed throughout history. I see art as a way to transport the viewer to a moment of history, and use that as an opportunity to educate and share the story of Motorsports. While the subject matter is often the a race car, its the stories of the man and women behind the scenes that prove there is so much beyond the physical sheet metal and gasoline.
