There is something about doors; every portal is a mystery of sorts. This one at Versailles was simply too beautiful not to photograph. I especially love the wavy old glass that reflects a beautiful scene (inside and out), the magnificent architectural surround, and the gorgeous color the door is painted. I did some post-production editing to enhance the overall patina. The metal print version, especially, shows off the depth of the image and clarity of detail.
