After nearly 25 years in corporate America, Celeste Miller retired to pursue her creative side. Her chemical engineering background and love for process attracted her to stained glass, glass mosaics, and fused glass. Her glass education and experience is a result of working for a local stained glass studio for six years.

Celeste’s work in glass led to a certification and teaching classes in precious metal clay (fine silver jewelry). Learning chain maille became a must when her students expressed a desire to make charm bracelets for their fine silver pieces. After Celeste took a class in chain maille, she became addicted to this ancient art. Her chain maille pieces are handcrafted from sterling silver and/or gold-filled jumprings. The jumprings are opened and closed so they can be linked together in a pattern to form a beautiful pair of earrings, a bracelet, or necklace. All pieces are finished by tumbling to harden the metal rings and produce a beautiful shine.

Celeste currently teach classes in chain maille, precious metal clay, stained glass, fused glass, glass mosaics, and silk scarf painting in Richmond and the surrounding area. When not teaching or exhibiting, she and her husband enjoy their dogs and volunteering with dog rescue, learning new skills, and playing a round or two of golf.
