On The Outside Looking In #1
18" Long with a 2" drop
This piece is part of a collection I created inspired by the colors used in the "Nighthawks" oil of realist painter, Edward Hopper. "His vision of reality was a selective one; reflective of his own temperament in the empty cityscapes, landscapes and isolated figures he chose to paint". His point of view was often from "the outside looking in" and so the collection was aptly named "On the Outside Looking In".
Vintage belt buckles and buttons from the Art Deco Period were layered, drilled and riveted together to appear as "windows". The supporting chain is composed asymmetrically of vintage brass, wood (some carved) and glass beads wired together. A vintage brass clasp provides a secure closure. This necklace is an Original Vintage Connections Jewelry design as signified by the sterling silver logo tag.
