Homage à Friedlander
Photograph on Paper
11.5 x 17.25", framed to 19.5 x 25.5"
Details of photographs serve only to enlarge grain or pixels. Hence only two images.
In my photography, I use digital cameras. I shoot exclusively in color, although afterward I often convert images to black-and-white.
Many of the results look like what you might expect a photograph to look like., comprising, as they do, an inventory of objects that I have pointed the camera lens at. However, many appear almost un-photographic. Indeed, it is often difficult to imagine that the final image actually starts out as a picture of something at all recognizable as it does before I begin to experiment with it in digital post-production.
