Ko Nam David
Konam was born in 1963 in Chengdu, China. He studied painting under several well-known Chinese artists including Cen Xuegong, Luo Cibing and Mou Kanghua. He migrated to Hong Kong in earlier 1994.
Konam have been passionate for painting since his childhood. Motivating by a deep love of life and nature, his footprints have spread many places around the world. In his career, he has maintained his focus on sketching from nature, and takes as his themes the rivers and mountains, snow fields, prairies and mountain villages, national customs. His paintings are characterized with realistic painting style, rhythmic vitality, rigorous and refined composition, and strong literary atmosphere.
In recent years, Konam’s works have been seen in various domestic and international art exhibitions and won awards in those events. He has organized exhibitions for his own works for many times, and many of them have been published. His works have been highly praised by both those who involve in painting and those who do not, and have been highly recognized in the market.
