A modern take on the Paris skyline after a recent trip to the city of light.

Artist's Statement:

Rooted in a journey through cities and landscapes both familiar and foreign, my work is a visual record of movement, memory, and place. I grew up in Rhode Island and have lived and studied in Kentucky, Italy, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, and now Richmond, Virginia. Each location has left its imprint on my artistic language; a fusion of observation, emotion, and atmosphere.

Working primarily in oil on canvas, I explore landscapes en plein air and recreate nostalgic scenes drawn from my travels. My style blends traditional impressionist techniques with a contemporary sensibility, focusing on light, color, and the fleeting nature of memory. Whether painting the golden haze of the California coast, the quiet corners of an Italian piazza, or the familiar textures of New England, I aim to capture not just what a place looks like but how it feels to be there.
