Honorable Mention, Painting

My daughter Alice (4 at the time) helped me paint this. I sketched the outline from a picture of she and her sister playing at Hollywood Cemetery and filled in some of the colors, while she contributed without guidance. I love how our styles combine to form this somewhat abstract but joyful piece.

Artist Statement

Painting people and pets brings me great joy. Bringing that joy to others when they see their custom portraits is even better. I’ve been a painter for over half my life, but I’m still always learning. Please let me know if I can paint someone or something that you love!
