A work in The July Series, which is a sharp departure from my previous work. This series uses words in paintings as part of its stream-of-consciousness approach to the psyche. Childlike renderings and bright colors are in tension with the decidedly dark messaging.

Artist Statement

DUANE CREGGER is an artist working in oils and mixed media. His work is a narrative of his rural-to-urban migration experiences. He builds visual dialogue with layers of paint and mark-making, suggesting an accumulation of subconscious events.
