This piece is part of The Ossetro Collection. It depicts my softer side as well as my busy mind. It has structure as well as whimsy. The flow of this painting makes me feel like I am standing on the sand of the tropics. I let the ripples of the ocean caress my feet and ankles.

Artist Statement

I am a self-taught Abstract Artist that has been painting and drawing since 2001. My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, architectural design, and the wonders of the universe. My creative process is whimsical and improvisational with the results bringing bold colors, thick textures, and complex details to the canvas. I mainly work with oils, acrylics, and textured mediums. I often mix mediums to create irregular patterns and interesting effects. I believe in giving each piece a name, so it has an identity, even if it is forged from my own imagination. In my older works, I liked to paint with linear and geometric patterns but lately I have been painting with much less structure. My new techniques are aggressive and unrestrained in their applications. This creates untamed, eccentric pieces and I am loving every minute of it! I hope that my art work is uplifting and inspiring and that it speaks to each individual to allow for healing, personal growth, and self awareness. I hope that my work helps people find a love within themselves, to learn who they are so that they can experience true freedom.
