I have always been intrigued with the process of merging photography with other forms of print making. Combining photography, pen and ink, ink wash, etching and digital painting, I have the freedom to create images that I visualize, but could never create through the use of only one medium.
Artist Statement
With a prior focus on photography, I have redirected my creative interests to mix-media print making. In recent years, I began exploring and further developing a print-making technique I refer to as Progressive Frame Imaging (PFI). In its simplest definition, PFI is a multi-layer, ink-over-ink print making process not dissimilar to that of lithography, wood block or silk-screen printing. The only difference with Progressive Frame Imaging is that digital printers replace the ink transfer mediums of stone, wood or screen.
