Jazz clarinetist, Doreen Ketchens is my hubby’s favorite NOLA street musician. I saw a clip of her playing You Are My Sunshine to her grandson and had to capture the moment. I dressed him in yellow; he is her sunshine.

Artist Statement:

Kristine Duane (KD) Gregory is a Contemporary Artist & Illustrator who works primarily in watercolor. For the longest time, she called herself a closet-artist because she never shared her creations even though she was in an artist group. In 2011 she began painting more consistently, carved out a dedicated art space in her interior design studio, and began selling paintings again. Her favorite subjects are children and animals. There is an innocence that’s so captivating that she loves to try to capture it in her art. Kristine’s art is in private collections throughout the United States. She is forever grateful to her artist friends (yes, you: Mike, Dee, Holly and Adele) for their gentle yet consistent nudging to keep the work coming.
