Artist Statement:

I have watercolor paintings my grandmother did over 100 years ago. I believe, because of her, I have always been intrigued by the medium. I enjoy painting a whole range of subjects from people to creatures to land and seascapes. Watercolor is a very challenging way to express what I see and i like that challenge even though I can feel perplexed by it. I have been painting with more effort for about 15 years. Photography is the other medium I love working in. With the advent of the digital age I am constantly discovering new ways to interpret an image. I love the challenge of transforming an image into something beyond what the eye can see. I have worked in the field of photography for over 45 years.
