1.The inspiration for this piece is Origami. I was always fascinated by origami and the various pieces one could make with paper. The folds in any Origami object are defining and deliberate. I was curious as to how it would turn out if I applied this to clay.

2. The Folded Leaf bowl uses the Wabi-Sabi approach where imperfection takes over. Mostly tableware is symmetrical but this piece is a shift from that to textured and asymmetrical. A Slab technique was used to create this textured handmade bowl.

3 Stoneware clay is high fired at 1240 degrees Centrigrade and then glazed for finished product.
