Working almost exclusively in alkyd paints (a fast-drying oil) with occasional use of acrylics, T.L. Shaver is attracted to the play of light on the natural landscape. T.L.'s paintings simulate the feelings he experiences when observing the light and land interaction. Most of his work is based in realism, but his technique varies depending on what he believes best captures the mood he wants. Much of his work is done alla prima (in one sitting). He is an award-winning artist best known for his seascapes.
T.L.'s works can be found in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States. He is represented by Crossroads Art Center.
