Inspired by NASCAR racer Denny Hamlin. This work was created keeping his home track in mind. Hamlin has won five times at Richmond, and spent his childhood in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Artist's Statement:

My work is a variety of mundane instances, acquired thoughts, and experiences. A bunch of stuff that clouds my colorful brain. I have never thought of art as minimalistic. My art showcases vibrant appeal. The more color, the better! Anyone can throw paint on a canvas but for me it is about the power of beauty, and transformation of any blank canvas. Anything can be transformed into a work of art. My style consists of painting things or scenarios that interest me, but then adding my own splash of color as an added expression to make it my own. I am an old-school NASCAR fan at heart, but NASCAR has always been nothing but of pure enjoyment for me in any generation. I like to treat myself to a race at least once a year with my twin sister. There is nothing better than a Richmond night race under the lights, and a star-studded sky. The smell of race fuel, smoking tires, and burned rubber baby!
