 ARTIST STATEMENT: “no knock sleeping”

no knock sleeping is part of a series entitled "They Died… While You Were Sleeping".  The series examines the death of three individuals who died during police raids throughout history.  It calls us to first, not forget these individuals and the way they died.  It also calls for us to wake up and encourages us to become activists in our communities and in politics with the hope that we can stop the vicious cycle of senseless deaths by the hands of the police.
