It is a reflection of the time I had my period for two years straight. Having both Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome(EDS), which led me to have Endometrial hyperplasia with atypia (EAH)

Artist's Statement:

I often think about how I can test the limits of graphic design being considered fine art. Graphic design can be more than just a poster we see on the streets. It can capture a reflection of a person's life by various icons, colors, typefaces, and even the piece's composition. I use graphic design to raise awareness of topics we, as a society, tend to shy away from. I use a propaganda style —bright colors, black-and-white pictures, and simple illustrations —to catch people's attention and raise awareness of any issues a person might be going through. The head is an object that symbolizes the topic's issues as the focal point. I also use Russian Constructivist Collage to reflect on my life —such as the chronic health problems I live with —and to move forward with current events in my personal life, and to point out my political views.
