This painting is part of a series exploring the idea that interconnectedness is our natural state. Problems arise when we see ourselves as separate from one another and from our planet.

Artist's Statement:

When I paint, it's as though color, texture and form have come together to “riff” on an idea. These ideas often involve spiritual or sensuous experiences that are commonly sought by people across different places, religions and cultures. The process begins with the application of several layers of acrylic paint to canvas using a variety of tools to build texture.I prefer using a harmonious color palette, and rely more on tone and shapes to capture the viewer's attention.
