Wild blackberry brambles are all along the edges of the woods where I live. They're beautiful in all stages and I love seeing them before the wildlife eats them up. I love the way the light reflects off of each little drupelet and I was inspired to paint this terracotta bowl of blackberries.
Artist's Statement:
I am a painter who is inspired by the finding the beauty in things that I love. Flowers, textured surfaces, books, and foods often show up in my work. Capturing the right light is important to me. I want my art to encourage the viewer to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the world.
