Oil on Canvas
Unframed: 60 x 48 x 2", Framed: 62 x 50 x 2"
This piece was a happy accident. It started as a nonobjective abstract then evolved into, well, this botanical paradise.
I am having the time of my life playing with colorful tubes of paint! I wake up each day contemplating how to bring more interest to the painting on my easel. Every one of my paintings begin and end with the emotions of a child - excitement, hope and fear. I am not bound by one genre. I'm always pushing my own boundaries using color and texture as my guide. From the first stroke of paint on my canvas a relationship between the painting and myself ensues. Abstracts, whether they are non-objective or fantasy impressionism, for me are always so much fun to paint! Art is so freeing, emotional and telling of oneself. My hope is that when one looks at my painting, they feel something, anything.
