Traveling north on the Route 1 in California, the views became more breathtaking outside the city of Carmel where I spotted a tremendous view over the Pacific. The nature light and ever-changing scenery along the Pacific Coast Highway will always be an inspiration to open the sketchbook.
As an artist my work leans towards figurative art, and in some cases, it can be categorized as abstract realism or impressionism. I attribute this to my spontaneous depiction of the subject matter that to the passing eyes may only record a blur. My objective is to capture these fleeting moments for others to witness and enjoy.
I believe art should not only be decorative but also tell a story…to educate and stimulate the viewer. The spectator should never stop learning with unexpected wonder and enjoyment.
