This opossum hanging from a tree is a typical scene in nature. He is surrounded by the changing leaves in the last few days of fall enjoying the last bits of warm air before taking a long winter sleep. Dyes are rust, onion, tea, coffee, chili, cranberry, celery. Free motion stitching is used.
Artist's Statement:
I am a creative expressionist. Art is my passion. I work intuitively, mixing reality with abstraction, creating from the depths of my soul. I am inspired by the world around me. I work in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, fiber, inks, pencil, pen, pastels papers plus tile and stone. I love the power of color, line, shape, value and texture to define the final design. My process is truly my own. I show my work throughout VA and NC. My multifaceted fine art is powerful and expressive, pleasing my collectors. I work from my multiple home studios on Lake Gaston, NC.
