With this design, I knew I wanted to incorporate as many ‘halloween’ elements as possible- a jet black house with yellow windows, a lifeless tree that has shed all its leaves, ghosts flying above the house, and pumpkins, adding a bit of cheer to an otherwise scary, and very haunted, house.

Artist's Statement: 

Can someone who works with papier-mache call herself an artist?  I believe that I can… I am using my imagination, drawing shapes, experimenting with color and learning about paint, all while using different materials to construct whimsical designs.  What I create continues to evolve and that is what I love about this medium.  Each design is formed using recycled cardboard and plastic bags, blowing the earth a kiss each time. 

I hope that what I create sparks joy, and brings a little lightheartedness into this world.
