Charlie realized after completing the painting that each person just happens to be looking to their right.   The restaurant scene is an amalgam of many of Charlie’s interiors: flooding sunlight, shadows on tiles, and people at ease.  This painting earned the an Award of Distinction in Watercolor at the 2023 Virginia Artists Juried Exhibition.
