As a VCU graduate and as someone who’s lived in Richmond for close to 20 years, downtown Richmond has always been a favorite subject of mine.  The interesting architecture, classic signage, and history is something that has always fascinated me and drawn me in, and I think that’s all quite front and center in “1st and Broad”.  This is also the largest painting I’ve completed to date, and one that I’m most proud of.
