I love the charm and history of the architecture in Richmond, and when I saw the glistening streets and faint glow of dusk, I knew I had to paint this scene.

Artist Statement:

Raised in a military home that was constantly on the move, I weave many distinct landscapes into my work; from the mountains, lakes, and autumn colors of upstate New York, to the large bustling cities of Seattle, San Diego, and Richmond, to the coastlines of Maine, Rhode Island and Virginia. I am especially intrigued by the interaction of man-made and nature, and the play of light, both natural and artificial. My ultimate goal is to make people stop and look closer at something they would typically walk by - to make the ordinary extraordinary.
