Artist's Statement:
In January, I had a dream that I needed to paint flowers. Since that time, that's what I have primarily done. Although I have always appreciated flowers, I had not looked at the intricate beauty created by every line, shadow, and vibrant color that makes up the flower. To me, they represent the fleeting nature of life. One cannot fully appreciate the short-lived beauty of a flower, and the delicate parts create a whole until you step back to see it all together.
