This is a painting of the heart of Lisbon, Portugal. The trams here climb and snake their way through the ancient, winding, picturesque streets. The ringing of their bells and colorful design help define the lively atmosphere of Lisbon and create a sense of place. Pictured here is the tram number 28 running along Rua de Conceicao in the Baixa district - a gridded section of the city comprised of magnificent plazas, grand avenues and boutique shopping boulevards.
