Sunset Over Tobacco Row
24" x 24"
1. This view was one that I observed often when I lived in Varina, and had wanted to paint for some time. The architecture, the perspective, the neon lights and of course the great sunset. It all combined for an awesome composition.
2. At the time of its creation, this was the longest amount of time I had spent on a single painting; upwards of 100 hours in total.
3. This piece is acrylic on canvas. My acrylic of choice is Liquitex Heavy Body and I use inexpensive brushes because I am terrible at taking care of them!
