Oil on Canvas
20 x 20 x 1.5"
While on a Sunday drive, this old house caught my eye. I see old houses as people, wondering what stories they could tell, what memories they hold. Hopefully, I've preserved this keeper of memories a little while longer.
As a child, I learned to draw completely on my own, as art classes weren't available to me. Despite that, I studied art in college, where all my self taught sketches and doodles served me well. I loved life drawing classes, but quickly dipped my toe into painting and the world of color. I paint in oil, from life, photo inspiration, or just out in a field. I continue to learn more about color with each changing mood of the Virginia landscape. Sharing that mood in a painting is a lifetime journey.
