Inspired by tarot card art, I painted this piece to provide a romantic image of a Navajo myth in which the Sun meets Changing Woman, a Navajo deity, representing the changing of the seasons in nature and in life. Also featured in this painting are other key elements of Navajo culture.

Artist Statement:

I mostly paint with acrylic and I'm a self-taught painter, continuously learning and inspired by other artists in my family and in the Native American community. I enjoy painting Navajo cultural and mythological stories to give myself and others a possible image to accompany the stories. Aside from painting Navajo stories and myths, I also enjoy painting other non-cultural images in abstract style to give myself creative challenges. I also enjoy painting floral images to stay connected with nature's beauty.
