This painting took me 2 months to do and I was painting it during a really monumental time in my life. As I started I wasn't sure if I wanted to add anything to it. Well, I did, then more, then more.  As I was asked about it I had to keep saying that I'm not done yet because It just kept going. 

Artist Statement:

I am 40 years old and have not been painting since I met my soon to be ex-husband. That was 17 years ago. Long story short it wasn't pleasant however recently I have finally left for good. I tried but was stuck in a very toxic codependent relationship going back and forth. Well I found that little girl that I lost inside at 15 and she is able now to grow and run free. I have not had my license in 18 years and it took me 2 weeks to get it when I left in the end of July. I started painting a few weeks before I left and have been painting ever since. I owe everything to my faith and my spiritual connection for any of this to be possible. The passion and love that comes from within when I paint God is painting with me. I have had many conversations asking him, are we really doing this?Ok, I guess so so I keep going. It's fun and amazing!
