I almost saw the lights from the farm as a child, so when I heard they might be visible I snuck (shhhh!) onto the farm and waited. I didn't miss this time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 128, 0);\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eArtist's Statement:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI am a semi-professional photographer who was late in discovering that a tenacious drive to learn and a touch of creativity would lead to a career very different from my life-long work in business and politics. I spent most of my career as an entrepreneur creating and growing new businesses in industries as diverse as genetic microbiology and used auto parts, but I didn’t think of myself as creative until I re-discovered my interest in photography while working from home during COVID isolation. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI enjoy competing and exhibiting photos in local and regional galleries. My biggest \"win\" came when my photo of the Milky Way taken on a South Carolina beach won third place in the 2022 Washington Post Travel Contest. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI specialize in photographing landscapes, animals \u0026amp; people in places and situations where most people don't go.
