Acrylic on Stretched Canvas

This piece is inspired by the passing of time and perseverance through change.
I grew up in rural Virginia, where I developed a love of nature, strange stories, playing in the woods until sunset, and listening to the music of crickets and frogs at night. Throughout my grade school years, I enjoyed making art, and went on to study at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. There I benefitted from a diverse arts community and received my BFA in Painting & Printmaking, and a minor in Art History. Later I briefly pursued graduate studies in Drawing & Painting at the University of Georgia, before deciding to move on to work in digital media. Today I enjoy creating original works of art on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia, where I’m inspired by nature, fairy tales and dark themes, identity, and our relationship with the environment.
