Autumn in the Bogs

This painting was inspired by some of the marshy wetlands I have visited in the National Parks in the US. From my experiences in those parks, this is my interpretation of what a bog might look like during the Autumn months.

Artist's Statement: 

I am a self-taught artist and have spent years trying many different styles and mediums. I enjoy working in oil, cold wax, acrylic and mixed media.

I spent my life surrounded by art and artists; both my father and mother painted. We grew up drawing and painting with them.

I live in Richmond, Virginia with my husband David. We love the outdoors and spend hours walking, hiking, and taking day trips to the many wonderful places the area has to offer. As an artist, inspiration is unlimited in RVA. From the river, nearby mountains and beaches, as well as the incredible street art and galleries, the possibilities for inspiration are endless.
