The Crossing was inspired by the annual pony swim from Assateague Island Virginia to Chincoteague Island Virginia. My goal was to capture the strength and determination of each of these ponies as they crossed between the two islands. 

Artist Statement: 

My paintings primarily reflect regional splendors that I capture through the viewfinder of my camera. My paintings include picturesque Maritime and Rural scenes discovered on the East Coast (Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina...etc) as well as abroad, Beautiful Animals, Pets and other commissions. My goal is to always capture the true beauty that surrounds us. I especially enjoy painting Watermen and their old workboats as they work their trade.  When I paint pets, horses, and other animals, I focus on their eyes and expressions to capture their personality.  I am inspired by many Art Masters; however, I am primarily inspired by American Artist, Winslow Homer.
