My goal for The Hunt was to capture the beauty and focus of this Bengal Tiger.  As I was completing this painting, I imagined this tiger hunting his next prey.  You can find this tiger at the Richmond Metropolitan Zoo where I visited this year with my Wife and Grandson.

Artist's Statement:

My paintings primarily reflect regional splendors that I capture through the viewfinder of my camera. My paintings include picturesque Maritime and Rural scenes discovered on the East Coast (Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina...etc) as well as abroad, Beautiful Animals, Pets and other commissions. My goal is to always capture the true beauty that surrounds us. I especially enjoy painting Watermen and their old workboats as they work their trade.  When I paint pets, horses, and other animals, I focus on their eyes and expressions to capture their personality.  I am inspired by many Art Masters; however, I am primarily inspired by American Artist, Winslow Homer.
