I was fascinated by the juxtaposition and complexity of the different colors and textures in this view at the Garden.

Artist's Statement: 

I am originally from California and have lived in many other states, but when the time came to stay put I chose Richmond, Virginia and now consider it home. Although I have been creative all my life, it’s only been in the last few years that that I discovered a passion for painting landscapes and flowers in my distinctive realistic style. My paintings demonstrate a search for the colors and shapes that reflect the beauty of the natural world. For me, every painting is a joy, from the discovery of a beautiful garden, tree, pasture, or bouquet of flowers, to the pleasure of putting the image on canvas.
