As the seasons change some flowers linger hoping for another gasp of beauty. This painting with stems hanging loosely and paint overlapping each flower and leaf to draw the last breath of life and the Masters laughing as a new season in painting emerges to the delight of the younger painters.

Artist's Statement: 

Louise Wickham is a trained traditionalist artist having gone to one of the premier universities in the states, Washington University Fine Art School, nearly 60 years ago. Having been taught from the Masters of Painting and Architectural Design, the so important basics of both.  Louise’s interest is in many styles, abstraction, painting all mediums, impressionism, her love of barns and country, flowers and structures, has brought her to a loose and colorful finished canvas. Louise also has helped children, doctors, nurses, army vets, CEO’s, even a psychiatrist on their Artist Way.  That is my story. Enjoy!
