JC Gilmore-Bryan

JC Gilmore-Bryan is a screenprint artist and longtime art instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, Virginia State University, and elsewhere. Her works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions locally at such venues as the Anderson Gallery and 1708 Gallery, and internationally including a solo exhibition at Bulgaria’s National Academy of Art during her Fulbright teaching/research residency. Her formal art education includes an undergraduate degree from MTSU and graduate degrees from Vanderbilt and Columbia.

 

In 2017 she donated 50 framed artworks to Reynolds Community College and they are on permanent display and available for public viewing at any time at the College’s Parham Road campus: 1651 Parham Road, Richmond, VA. The 2017 book, JC, Janet Clare Gilmore-Bryan, Artist, provides a look at her professional and personal life and career – all in full color.~
