Susan Singer offers art classes at her home studio near Trader Joe’s Southside
Monday - Wednesday each week. Her classes are full of great learning offered in an easy-going, fun, dynamic way. Susan is an encouraging, enthusiastic teacher who loves to teach and also loves to create her own artwork. Parking is readily available in the cul de sac by her home.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Susan Singer's teaching philosophy involves offering you, the student, a rich, engaging, fun, encouraging, resource-laden adventure as you begin or continue your creative journey. She recognizes it can feel intimidating to begin to learn a new skill as an adult, so, especially in the Beginning classes, she teaches discrete skills in a way that they can be learned then mastered. From there, you will learn other skills, and eventually, you'll be able to combine them to create drawings and paintings that will amaze you!

WATERCOLOR SKILL BUILDING FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
Watercolor is a glorious medium to work in! It’s beautiful! It’s fun! It’s easy enough for kids, yet complex enough for the most skilled artists.
In this class, you will learn the Fundamental Skills needed to be able to express yourself in watercolor. You will work through a series of exercises, each of which will teach you a skill and will result in a beautiful painting. The poppies above are one example of what will be done in class. No art experience whatsoever is necessary. We’ll start at the very beginning!
The class will meet Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9 PM, 9/22 – 10/27, 6 weeks, maximum 12 students, minimum 6. $240 + $10 for materials. Reply to this email to sign up or for more information. OPEN STUDIO
(Imagine a blank canvas here, ready for YOU to fill!)
In this class, you will have the opportunity to work on your own projects at your own pace in any medium with the support of the teacher and the friendly encouragement of your fellow students. The emphasis will be on helping you find your own artistic voice in whatever medium(s) you choose to use.
Each of us has something unique to add to the world and our own beautiful way of expressing it. If you are already on your creative journey and your form of expression is visual, this may be just the right place for you to further explore and experiment and discover how to let your inner Self out onto the paper/canvas.
Susan will offer you prompts and inspiration if you want those or will leave you to your own musings if you prefer. She will be there to answer questions and offer support as needed. INTERMEDIATE PASTELS – rare offering!
If you have already entered the glorious world of soft pastels and would like to continue your journey, this class might be just the place for you! You will be given instruction in technique and materials and will also have a chance to work on your own projects so you can develop your own style and artistic voice.
(Please note, this is not a beginning class. Knowledge of and experience with soft pastels is necessary! I’ll hold another Beginning Pastel Class in the new year.)

HOLIDAY CARD MAKING
A place to relax. A place to learn. A place to discover. A place to make pretty things that feel joyful…
Leave your cares behind and head on over to art class for 6 weeks of creating beautiful cards for the holidays (including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and birthdays). A little experience with watercolor is helpful but not necessary. You’ll learn everything you need to know in class.
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 – 9 PM, 9/22 – 10/27, 6 weeks, $240. (If you would like to have supplies provided, the additional cost is $35, but you are welcome to bring your own!) PRIVATE LESSONS
If none of these classes fits just right for you, there's one more option: you can have private lessons! You can learn whatever skills you're interested in at your own pace at times that work for you. I have over 30 years experience working one-on-one with students, young and old, so you'll be in good hands!

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
$50 non-refundable registration fee per registration included in cost of tuition.
Cancellation up to 3 weeks before start date – 100% refund, less registration fee.
Cancellation less than 3 weeks before start date but more than one week: 50% refund, less registration fee.
Cancellation less than 1 week before start date - no refund except in the case of emergency.
If the class is cancelled, you will receive 100% refund.
