Featuring a wide array of music - from Classical to Broadway and everything in between - this concert captures the sentimental and the sassy aspects of relationships. The program includes hits like 'Nessun Dorma' and 'If Music Be the Food of Love' plus 'Bring on the Men' from the musical Jekyll and Hyde, and classic tunes like 'Stand By Me' and 'If I Loved You.' Come listen, laugh, reminisce, and bask in the beautiful sounds of the Richmond Men's Chorus!

ABOUT 2ND STAGE CONCERTS: 2nd Stage is an audience favorite! Enjoy a different genre of live music monthly on Fridays (excluding July, August, and January.) Held in our Cardinal Ballroom, music lovers can relax in an informal setting with performances by amazing local and regional talent! Plus, make it a perfect evening out with wine/beer/beverages and dinner available for purchase at the show from DeFazio's Catering! The Cultural Arts Center is pleased to announce the reveal of its new 2018-2019 season which boasts an exciting lineup of exhibits and performances, with tickets starting at $12!  Single tickets will be available starting July 9, 2018View Season

The Center Season performance series returns on September 19, 2018 with legendary folk icons, The Kingston Trio! Capitol Steps, an audience favorite, will bring a unique blend of music and political comedy to the Sara Belle November Stage October 25 - 28. Plus, Richmond’s premier event of the year, Richmond’s Finest, brings RVA favorites Susan Greenbaum and the Richmond Symphony to The Center on March 22, 2019 for an evening of Susan’s favorite originals and covers, including a few of her favorite Carpenters and Carols King tunes, all accompanied by the fabulous Richmond Symphony! Additional highlights include VA Rep on Tour’s Sleeping Beauty (October 13, 2018 with $15 tickets) and an exciting new venture with Henrico Theatre Company, presenting Ring of Fire – The Johnny Cash Musical (February 22 – March 3, 2019). Center Season tickets start as low as $12. Center Season is generously sponsored by Towne Bank, Markel, Style Weekly, WCVE and The Virginia Commission for the Arts.

The 2nd Stage concert season is back to kick off your weekends with a different genre of live music monthly on Fridays. Sponsored by BB&T and WCVE and held in the Cardinal Ballroom, this cabaret style showcase offers Richmond residents and visitors an informal setting to experience performances by local and regional talent. The season begins with An Evening of Bluegrass with The Commonwealth Bluegrass Band (September 7, 2018). Other highlights include An Evening of Songs & Stories with local favorite Georgia Rogers Farmer (October 19, 2018), An Evening of Holiday Favorites with Offering (December 7, 2018), and many more special guest artists. Dinner and a complete bar/beverages are available for purchase on the night of the show. Subscribe to the season with four or more shows at only $15 per show. Otherwise, individual tickets are $17 in advance, and $21 if purchased at the door.

Subscriptions are currently on sale and single tickets are available for purchase starting July 9, 2018. With tickets starting as low as $12 and an exciting new season focused on presenting the best in the visual and performing arts, there is much to look forward to!

New art exhibits throughout The Center’s four onsite galleries include works from The Virginia Plein Air Painters, paintings and photography by the Bon Air Artist’s Society, and the return of celebrated Mosaic artist Brian Korte/Brickworkz with an all-new LEGO® exhibit! Opening Receptions are sponsored by Sonabank.

Special events throughout the season are often free and include the 10th Annual Bluegrass Jam on April 13, 2019 (donations suggested); the Annual Dia de los Muertos celebration with the Latin Ballet of Virginia (November 4, 2018); and an Artisan crafted Festival of Trees on displayDecember 1, 2018 – January 2, 2019.

Plus, new Sunday Brunch Markets will be available at The Center from September through November, every first Sunday of the month from 11am to 3pm. Spend Sunday afternoon strolling through a variety of farmers’ market and arts market vendors, relaxing on a picnic blanket on the grass, and enjoying a tasty lunch with the family! Sunday Brunch Markets will include delicious food from the Glen Allen Super Market, vendors, a wine & beer garden, picnic space (don’t forget your blanket), activities for the kids, and live entertainment. Bring your reusable bags and get ready for a fun-filled Sunday! Also, don’t miss our Enchanted by the Arts Festival on March 23, 2019 from 10am to 5pm. We invite you and your family to explore The Center and the visual and performing arts as you participate in hands-on art projects and enjoy live performances by a variety of talent. Free and open to the public, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy! Food service will be provided by the Glen Allen Super Market from 11am-4pm so you can enjoy lunch or snacks without having to stop all the fun!
