CAC Gallery Members Show "The Feel of Fall" CFE 2024

 

We are excited to announce an online call for entries for MEMBERS of Crossroads Art Center:   "The Feel of Fall"

Submissions are made through ArtCall.

Dates of show: Friday, Sept 20, 2024 - November 3, 2024

• ALL ENTRIES are accepted into the exhibition, and will be displayed as an Online Exhibition on the CAC website. Customers can shop and make purchases directly from the website.

Important Information

All entrants must be Current or New Crossroads Art Center members; artists may join or update their membership at any time JOIN NOW

• Theme is "The Feel of Fall".
• All work submitted must be for sale.
• Commission on sales is 30%.
• The first entry is free, the second $12 ( limit 2 submissions).                             
• No reproductions or giclee prints will be accepted unless approved by Jenni Kirby, Owner. 
• Work must be executed solely by the artist. No reproductions (like giclee) are permitted, unless the art process IS the printed process, i.e., etching, monoprint, silkscreen, lithograph, etc. Printed digital images created by the artist with a computer program such as Procreate, Shopify, etc., ARE permitted. 
• The gallery reserves the right to refuse work.
• Artists must be able to deliver artwork within 48 hours to the Center, if a purchase or inquiry is made.
• Artists will be texted or emailed regarding sales or inquires.

Before submitting artwork, please read and be sure you understand thoroughly procedures and expectations as listed in Prospectus. (link)

Submission Details:

• For this show you must be a member! JOIN or RENEW Now

• Please capitalize the FIRST LETTER of each name: Jonathan Doe.

• The first time you ever register in ArtCall, you need an artist statement - 200 word limit in first person. It is a statement about all of your work, in general. Why and what and how you do what you do.

• You do not have to create a portfolio site to enter the show.

• Prices - DO NOT TYPE IN A COMMA. This produces the wrong price ($2, instead of $2,500). ArtCall will add the comma automatically

• Measurements - HEIGHT first, then Width then Depth (H x W x D), inches at the end.   Ex: 8 x 10",  6 x 8 x 12"

• You must enter verbiage regarding the individual piece of art - The character limit is 300, including spaces (You will be cut off)!!  It is about the specific work of art.

• All this information is used online. Use Spellcheck as well as  word count! 

• After submitting, please log back in and double check your information. Did you enter the required 2 or 3 photos? Is your price correct? Measurements? Is your statement complete? Too long?

• FYI - You can go back in and add/edit images and edit text until the call ends.

• VERY IMPORTANT: You can delete and change photos and change text within each submission up until end-of-call. Do not delete an entire submission and then replace it with a new one--ArtCall will charge you for a new submission!

2D IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

3 images of each piece are required, one of the art without frame, one with frame, and a close detail image (zoomed into a small section of interest). If the art is unframed, only 2 photos are required.

NOTE: if the work is framed, we must have the outside measurements of the frame (H x W x D). Please do not guess. If we do not have the measurements for the art and/or the framed art, your piece will not be considered to jury. Walls and backgrounds SHOULD NOT SHOW in photos. When taking the digital image please make sure the photo is not at an angle or crooked.

3D IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

For each 3D, installation, or wearable art entry, submit 3 images: one overall front image, one overall rear or sideview image, and one detail image (zoomed into a small section of interest). Make sure that both the full-view and detail images are oriented correctly.
