Carson Overstreet

Artist Carson Overstreet grew up in the small town of Bedford, Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Inspired by the southern landscape and molded by her own artistic family upbringing, Carson—who was always artistically inclined--took up painting in 2013. For her first ten years of painting, she worked a a self-taught artist. Since 2023, she has enrolled in courses and classes from the late Randy Sexton and Scott Christenson. She dabbles in a little bit of everything with subjects including landscapes, florals, still life, figures and plein air, though large-scale landscapes and florals continue to be her most sought-after pieces.  Her work defies categorization ranging from large to small, muted to saturated with color, realistic to abstract.

Carson’s work is available to see in person at LinDor Arts (Roanoke, Virginia), The District Gallery (Knoxville, Tennessee), Camellia Art (Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, South Carolina) and Serendip (Norfolk, Virginia).  Her work is available for purchase online at Liza Pruitt and through Carson’s own website.

Carson is a member of the American Impressionist Society.
