Alaska is known for its grand beauty. But an early morning in Glacier Bay presented a different kind of beauty. Beyond the silhouette of trees, mist settled into the mountains, bathing the scene in hues of blue. My hope was to capture the mystery and tranquility of early morning in Glacier Bay.

Artist's Statement:

Exploring natural places and photography have been lifelong passions. The advent of digital photography rekindled in me the desire to learn, experiment, and improve my photographic skills. I am especially inspired by the natural world and wild places. Landscapes, waterfalls, and images that emphsize the abstract character of nature comprise much of my work.
Whether in black and white, or in color, my goal is to capture and refine images that I hope convey the essence of what I experience in the field. I love being able to share my vision of these special places.
