Inspired by The Amazing Digital Circus, this series of mixed-media digital paintings contrasts bold black motifs with soft, luminous backgrounds. Silhouette-like forms drift across color fields, while contrasting accents and subtle speckling add rhythm, depth, and movement.

Artist Statement:

Inspired by city landmarks, pop culture, and non-representational work, my work is derived from the seemingly disparate disciplines of comic book illustration and abstract mark making. I aim to continue a conversation between "high" and "low" art while dancing on the imaginary line between. I studied at the School of Visual Arts in NY and have worked on a number of comics including titles from Marvel & Archie. My mixed media digital paintings typically start as impressionistic drawings, hand-drawn abstract doodles, and painted color fields on paper which are then combined, transformed, and manipulated in the computer and output onto various substrates.
